6 Toxic Habits to Quit Immediately

 

Are you guilty of these toxic habits? Most of the time we fail to realize we can be creating toxic habits everyday. You might be wondering, what makes a toxic habit? To me, a toxic habit is something you do that is continuously provoking you to harm your mental health, daily routines, and just all around interfering your success.

I will admit, I have witnessed some of these habits in the past. Since then, I tried to cut them short out of my life and make them disappear. Here is a list of 6 toxic habits you should quit immediately!

1. Not believing in yourself

As i got older, I learned that it is important to your success to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. Putting yourself down repeatedly, or always telling yourself “you can’t do it”, chances is that it will become true. Changing your mindset, and actually believing in yourself really can change so much in your life.

 

2. Not letting go of the past

Even myself can admit that i have had trouble not letting go of the past. For some strange reason, I just couldn’t get over it. This is most definitely TOXIC. If we don’t let go of the past, it will haunts our present/future. Just live in the moment, let go of the past, and focus on what’s more important.

 

3. Keeping toxic people in your life 

Honestly, I use to be afraid to remove certain people out my life. Now, it’s a piece of cake for me. I don’t feel selfish putting me first any more, and i also don’t feel bad. Toxic people is like taking a bad drug. NO GOOD. Get rid of the toxic, and don’t let your guilt get in between anything.

 

4. Checking your phone as soon as you wake up

First off, this is a toxic habit. Checking your phone when you first wake up is a problem. Checking your phone as soon as you wake up is a terrible start of the day!  I actually find that when the mornings comes and I don’t check my phone right away, I feel a lot happier and productive. I like to try to start my morning on a positive note, and feeling like i can do other things besides just picking up my phone.

 

4. Comparing yourself to others

I notice that a lot of people have this bad. I even caught myself doing it a few times. It’s definitely another toxic habit. Comparing yourself affects a lot within yourself, like your confidence. Compare yourself to the old you and the new you, and how much you have accomplished.

5. Getting no sleep + Cranky

Getting no sleep is a toxic habit. I have had so many sleepless nights working towards my future and trying to be successful, but it becomes stressful to the point i wake up cranky. Being cranky is also a toxic habit. To prevent this issue, coming up with a solid schedule and getting the proper rest is important.

 

6. Not drinking any water

I am big on drinking water, no matter how unhealthy i am lol, I admit water is my bff. Have you had them days where you are so hot and agitated and all you need is water to cool you down. Well that’s me. If i don’t drink any water especially on a hot day, I am definitely irritated out this world. Which is a toxic habit. So drink your water my loves!
